{"id":3869,"date":"2025-07-15T22:44:23","date_gmt":"2025-07-15T22:44:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/somagoldcorp.com\/?p=3869"},"modified":"2026-03-11T15:40:30","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T15:40:30","slug":"soma-announces-change-of-auditor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/somagoldcorp.com\/es-co\/2025-es-co\/soma-announces-change-of-auditor\/","title":{"rendered":"Soma Announces Change of Auditor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>July 15, 2025, Vancouver, British Columbia &#8211; Soma Gold Corp. <\/strong>(TSXV: SOMA) (WKN: A2P4DU) (OTC: SMAGF) (the \u201c<strong>Company<\/strong>\u201d or \u201c<strong>Soma<\/strong>\u201d) announces that it has changed its auditor from Doane Grant Thornton LLP (\u201c<strong>Former Auditor<\/strong>\u201d) to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (\u201c<strong>Successor Auditor<\/strong>\u201d or \u201c<strong>PwC<\/strong>\u201d), effective July 5, 2025. The change in auditors was approved by the Board of Directors to better align audit and advisory services with the Company\u2019s growth strategy and evolving operations.<\/p>\n<p>The appointment of PwC will be submitted to shareholders for approval at the Company\u2019s next Annual General Meeting, scheduled for December 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The Former Auditor&#8217;s reports on the Company\u2019s financial statements for the two most recent fiscal years ended December 31, 2024, and December 31, 2023, did not contain any modifications or reservations, and there were no reportable events as defined in National Instrument 51-102 (Continuous Disclosure Obligations) in connection with their audits through to the date of change.<\/p>\n<p>Greg Hayes, Chief Financial Officer of Soma, commented: \u201cWe thank Doane Grant Thornton for their professionalism and service over the past several years. (TSXV: SOMA) is a profitable mining company focused on gold production and exploration.
